What works offline
Everything you add to a trip is stored on your phone or in your browser, so it opens and stays editable without a connection:
- Your trips and day-by-day itineraries: flights, hotels, restaurants, activities, and notes
- Adding, editing, and ticking off plans as the day goes
- Packing checklists
- Documents and photos saved to the trip on your device
- The travelers on each trip, and, in the iOS and Android apps, your reminders, which fire on the device with no signal
- Importing bookings: confirmations are read on your device
In the browser, TripNova works offline after its first online visit on that device. Settings, under Storage & offline, shows whether the browser is ready to open it without internet.
What needs a connection
A few things come from online services, so they need a signal:
- Weather forecasts: five days as a guest, seven with a free account
- Searching for places and addresses
- Map tiles; offline map downloads are planned
- Cloud backup and sync of the trips in your account
No account needed
TripNova opens straight to your trips, and a guest trip is as complete as any other. See how the trip planner with no sign-up works, including where your trips are kept and what a free account adds.
Before you travel
- Import your flight and hotel confirmations before you go, so every booking detail is on the trip.
- Save tickets, passes, and confirmations to the trip’s documents.
- Download a PDF of the itinerary as a second copy.
- Sign in to a free account if you want your trips safe from a lost phone.
